Hi Char- You don't know me, but when I saw a post on another site I just had to comment to you. I'm so sorry on the death of your husband. I lost my husband to cancer last August 23 and I'm trying to go on the best I can. I'm in this old farmhouse that belonged to his grandparents that we were restoring, I felt like saomeone dropped me down from another planet on it. It's hard I know to go on, but take one day at a time. IF you don't want to get dressed stay in your jammies, maybe tomorrow will be a better day. I met a woman who used to be a conselor and I was telling her about how much I miss my husband and she told me to hold out my hand and she touched each of my fingers and said this 5 words-Thhink Of Others Not yourself. Maybe down the road you can volnteer and help other people. This all takes time, and if you were here right now I would give up a hug and kiss. Take care- Alanna Neupert, Cabot, Pa.

Oh Char, I can't even tell you how very sorry we are about Tom, although we only met him the one time, he was such a super nice guy, and we know how very close the two of you were. Our hearts ache for you Char, and hope God gives you peace, you are in our hearts and prayers everyday.... sending you a big hug until I can give it to you in person.....Max

I just want to thank all you guys for your kind words. Tom and I would have been married 43 years, on August 24. We grew up together. He was a great husband and provider. As our friends know, there wasn't anything, I wanted, that he didn't make sure I got. Even a cabin in the back yard, for my friends and I to rug hook in. He was the BEST! He loved muscle cars, corvettes, and Dale Earnhardt Sr. His friends took his Corvette, Nova, and new truck to the funeral home everyday, and even in the funeral to the cemetery. He would have been so proud. He owned his own bodyshop for 31 years, and wanted me to keep it open in his name. I'm going to try my very best, but I can't stand to be there yet. He restored gas pumps for rec. rooms, and garages, and let me have all the primitives. (he loved them too - but it better not have a nail that wasn't square, or heaven forbid a screw) Well, I just wanted you all to know alittle bit about him.
