Thankyou Ron for being a friend and good mate. I first met you through my brother also named Ron, when you went to school together and played footie at the same club. Later you joined the Denistone Football Club and a friendship was rekindled as I played Netball with the same club. You became part of a larger group of young friends, all of us just starting careers, planning futures and enjoying life. We were young, carefree and without worry.<br /> Then one night you made a fateful decision to accompany your mate Kevin as he was being driven home from a party by an alleged responsible adult. No chance to say goodbye you were both gone from our lives forever. Thankfully, your mates Peter and Roger survived but that night changed the lives of many forever. We cannot undo the past and the anger of injustice does not last. I now only think of you with warm and caring thoughts, but still wonder why?
