I first discovered Richard Pryor in my 30's,I don't remember just how but thats not a consideration anyway. As soon as I saw his stand-up,his observations of life,I fell-here was a man with nothing to hide,no inhibitions.Pryor saw people for what we are, people. Not colours,races,classes-just people making our best efforts to get through each day.I never would have had the chance to talk with Richard but that doesn't stop me wishing. He took life to the base level (the level we're all on).Richard will forever remain an enigma-way,way ahead of time even now. I ain't the first to salute Richard and I sure won't be the last.Wherever you are in heaven keep a seat warm for me and a scotch and a joint. God doesn't make legends-they fight to be legends-I salute you!
Rest In Peace. May God remember the laughter you brought to his children on earth.
Richard, you will be missed greatly!!! You are the funniest ever.RIP my brother. There is nor will ever be none like you.
Richard Pryor was an icon. It is a shame that the world ws not able to truly apprecite the work he did out side of entertainment. The void he left behind is evident.....
Laughter has always been healthy for the soul, but sometimes it can be painful.. depending on how hard you laugh and how much pressure you put on your stomach while you're holding it..You have set and engraved the world with this great legacy and trend. You will never be forgotten.
