Pete you were a good man who I miss so much, gave me and many others all your help and time, even when you were very ill you smiled and created light. You never complained even to the end and your dignity knows no bounds. I will try and be half as good as you and help our fellow sufferers and ask God to look after you as you are precious. God bless Marshy Dave

My fondest memory is when I used to go to Liverpool with my dad ( Arther ) to do the market. I used to stay with my cousins ( The Marshall's - who I think of as brothers and sisters ). Peter would always make me feel welcome with a cup of tea, and make sure I had something to eat. Peter would even kick Juke out of his bed for me or he would sleep with Juke so that I had a bed. Thinking of you always... Cousin, Chris Marshall. xxx

my memories of my uncle peter are of him coming into my nans house in liverpool, as soon as he walked in he would be making sure everone was okay and offering to make cups of tea!!!! usually made about 20 cups a day! he was a lovely caring man, very relaxed and laid back. jack took to him straight away as all children did! im just sorry we never made it up to nans to see him recently and for jack to see him once again! although we only got to see him a few times a year, he was a great man and uncle. we will miss you very much peter!!! love kerryanne and jack xxx

Another more recent memory of Peter was when he was jamming in mum's back garden with Paul, Lisa & I chatted with both Peter & Paul as they played the guitar, it was a lovely sunny day and Leo was lying on the sun lounger, mum was in the kitchen listening to the happy sounds coming from the back garden. Later we all chatted in the dining room and mum joined us after cooking the dinner, we all had a laugh looking at photos and talking about old times this is a memory I will cherish forever. Love you always Pete xxx Sister Kathy

I have many memories of Peter but my earliest memory was the day mum brought him home for the hospital all wrapped up in a little blanket; Mum was standing by the window in out flat and I was sitting on the couch looking up........I was only ten but this memory came back to me in a flash the week Peter passed away. I was also involved in the "boxing matches" always remember Peter having puffy, slightly swollen cheeks ( just under the eyes) from taking all the hits, brave as a lion he never stopped coming forward .....he showed this same courage throughout his illness never once feeling sorry for himself, always trying to make everyone else feel loved, happy and special. My last memory is us watching Doctor Who together the Sunday before I went back to Turkey and then saying our goodbyes watching him drive off in the car waving back at me with a smile on his face..... thats the one I will cherish the most.........Love Paul

I only knew Peter for 9 years, but in that time I came to know a wonderful, caring, generous man. I always remember having a full bladder constantly when he was around through drinking many, many cups of tea with the occasional cake or butty. My children loved Peter and were always excited when he came around to visit as he used to play games and entertain them with jokes and stories, or just being silly. We will all miss you Peter, but I am sure we will meet again in another life. Love from Aynsley, Charlotte, Niamph and Lucy XXXXXXXXXX

My early memories of Pete was when we were very young,It would be a Saturday in the summer time when Mum would be out shopping. Our older brother Dave would get us 4 youngsters together to arrange boxing matches for his amusement. He would say it was to toughen us all up! Anyway I would usually be paired with Ricky and Pete would fight the lion out of the yellow brick road, that would be our Kev, hit and run was his speciality. Dave would make us wrap hand towels around our fists cos we didn't have gloves. The fights would usually escalate into mass brawls cos we would all usually get hurt in some way, bloody nose or a cut lip. Our pete would be the one laughing his head off even though he would be hurt as well and that's what will always stick in my mind, he was a tough lad and a very brave man. Miss you bro Mark x

one of my happiest memories of our pete was when we would all get hauled into the loft and watch a cartoon show our john had set up with a slide projector I know its a childhood memory of all of us but the four youngest would get to sit near the front it was a fantastic experience . The four musketeers will meet again one day. LOVE YOU PETE

My memory is like most peoples, its his cups of tea. Also how wonderfull he was with kids, he loved them and they loved him, if you couldn't find one of the kids you only had to look for Pe and the kids were with him in the dining room sitting round the table drinking tea.

one of my memories of pete was the lovely cup of tea that always greeted you when you visited his mum, you would just have got your foot through the door when a tray would appear with tea and biscuits on it, more often than not pete would have ran down the shop as you arrived to the get the biscuits. he was a lovely lad and so very thoughtful of everyone sister in law marie x x
