I use to love watching him every afternoon after school. I loved to hear him laugh. Through the years seeing him doing an interview and hearing him laugh made you laugh with him. He was brilliant but most importantly kind. Kindness is a lost commodity. A man who was kind, laughed and brilliant. Class, that was what he was. A classic man.
Many afternoons were spent watching Merv and Arthur Treacher. He will surely be missed. Janie
He had a lasting impact on our entertainment industry and our hearts. We will always remember him
Merv Griffin may have left this world without meeting those who loved him but I know some how that love was felt by him in someway. His body let him down, but Merv soars where ever he is, you can be sure of that. Our bodies die, but the energy inside all of us keeps on burning and growing. Merv will continue to grow, having learned so much in this existence, he will surely return. Thanks Merv, for the entertainment!
I didn't know Merv, but if I would have known him, I would have loved him dearly. What a loss for humanity.
His humor and generousity will always be remembered. May The Lord Bless Him And Keep Him - Amen.
He was the greatest TV personality of all time.
My favorite is When coming home at night , the smell of home backed cookies filled the air, only to find that his wife had been dabbing Vanilla behind her ears. Thank you dear man for relating to the common man and leaving each of us with a particular chuckle.
MERV GRIFFIN was among the best men, I have ever seen. When you can show your appreciation for life ,without any remorsefulness is above the best.I will miss that flowing ,loving, smile. And the masculinity of a pure /happy beautiful soul. And thats loving you MR.MERV.
I would very proud to know that I am Merv's second cousin.
I want to to share with Merv's family that my love and thoughts go out to you for your loss of a good man. I have memories of my mother Elain Mary Griffin telling me that she was Merv's first cousin. Her father and Merv's father was brothers. We lived in Seattle Washington and my mother's father's name was John Griffin. I would like to know if I really was related to such a great man. Please let me know if you can. I have lost five family members from Cancer and I do know what you are going through.... God Bless, Sandra Cochran
I was so young when I first saw Merv, yet over the years he became one of American's most reconized faces. He was such a loving and caring man with so much to offer Americans. Talented in every way. When Merv walked into a room he was the show. He didnt need anything else except himself. How lucky I am to have known a great Human Being like Merv. God bless and keep him safe always.
to mr griffins family, your father was a truly wonderful person and god bless you all......
We'll always remember Merv in the Bay Area as the San Mateo kid who made it big -- his legacy will live on forever!
He was a reall innovator, sorry to see him leave us.
