You played me Merle Haggard in 1974. I have never heard it since without thinking of you. Thanks for broadening my idea of music. Jan

I wish we had kept in touch more and better. During our '70s streetpreaching years, Lindz gave me a deeper understanding and hearing of Blues pioneers from his vinyl collection. I still have the tape of various blues greats (Charlie Patton, Robert Johnson, Son House, etc) I made from his records. My very first sociology/communications assignment in 1978 was an overview of Blues drawn from the back of records in his collection. I got a Distinction for it and my lecturer at the time said it was worthy of converting into a radio programme for 3CR. I didn't follow through, but a few years later when I began teaching my own sociology of popular music course at Monash uni, that same material formed the basis of my Blues lectures. Lindsay, you never knew what you started! You will always be a part of my fondest musical and streetpreaching memories. See you in heaven, R

You walked into my life with music and a troubled faith. We travelled a bumpy road mate, but the music was always there. Thanks for so many lessons learned, friends made and times shared. Highs and lows, near and far, you were always happy to hear from your old friend no matter how long it had been. Along with so many, I will miss you. Sleep in peace. Terry

When we lose someone we love it seems that time stands still. What moves through us is a silence... a quiet sadness... A longing for one more day... one more word... one more touch... We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. We will see you again some day, in a heavenly place where there is no parting. A place where there are no words that mean good-bye.... RIP Lins. I will never forget you and your friendship. I will never forget your excitement at hearing Hannah's heart beat, the smile on your face when I told you we were having a little girl, your care and love throughout my pregnancy and your words of encouragement the day I went into labour. Thankyou for teaching me about jazz, about different music, about history, about antiques.... I so wish I could have one last coffee with you .One last conversation. One last smoke. One last laugh and give you one more hug. I will always love you and will miss you so very much. Always Elena, Stephen, Hannah and Jackson xoxo
