When I first started Neat n Trim Newcastle in 1992 I always remembered you coming to take us out for dinner and enjoying a quiet drink. One time I bought you a bottle of scotch and you were sooo happy, you said "you know, I give so much to many but never has anyone just surprised me like this" you even sent me a letter of thanks. Now I can thank you for being who you were, an important role model - even though you were as nutty as a fruit cake!! LOL With much love Quida xxoo

Dear Mr. Stern, I only heard yesterday of your passing and it has left a void in my heart. You gave me my first job, at Neat ' Trim uniforms as receptionist in 1971, you were so kind to me, I remember we used to talk about Scotch College and how you and my dad were there when Littlejohn was the Headmaster. .How I fondly remember Mrs. Stern who would come by the front desk, her lovely smile and the most amazing hair! But I told you that when I wrote to you on her passing. I also told you to take care, for I would remember you both in my prayers - and I will.

After arriving in Melbourne in 1971 knowing nobody, you hired me into Neat 'n Trim Uniforms where I enjoyed a number of very happy years as your Executive Secretary. Many memories, many laughs and many happy times. Thank you for all the wonderful help and encouragement you gave us both in hose early years - your support and generosity still sets the standard by which we now measure our own support of others. Thank you Kurtie .... a wonderful life and a wonderful journey! Helen and Ross Baxter, Simon & Tim.

As the days go on since your have left us, it becomes more unreal that you are no longer here. It is hard to come to terms that we can no longer talk, share and laugh about all aspects of life. You have been an inspiration for me in both my personal life and career path. I admired and loved you but most of all I treasured your friendship and down to earth wisdom. My heart goes out to Maureen and we all send our sympathy. Kurt is a huge loss to all who knew him. With respect and love Maree, Peter, Emily, Monique and the Scott Family
