Dearest June, I don't think I've ever learned as much from anyone as I did from you. You will always have a big place in my heart...and make me laugh as I still retell some of your stories.
Much love,
Matthew xxxxxxxx

My mother was an extra on the film "Please Turn Over'. She always told me how you inspired her and took her under your wing and how you was the only credited actor to speak to the extras. Thank You

"Dear Heart" it is a great honour and privilege to have known you, firstly as a student and then as a friend. Your kindness and unyeilding belief in me over the years is a wonder to me. Thankyou for sharing your inspiring knowledge, wisdom and humour. Thankyou for our phone conversations over the years. I missed your beautiful voice this Christmas passed. And thankyou for your theatrical stories - ie: as a very young actress there would come a moment in every performance when you would experience a "Bette Davis Moment". The audience wouldn't know it but you would. "Forget me not" - Michael

I knew June from the early 1950's in Melbourne and well remember the excitement when she and her colleagues were setting off to London with Ray Lawler's "Summer of the Seventeenth Doll".( I can still see June stitching some of her costume jewellery into the hem of her coat to avoid overweight charges by the airline!)
When I came to England myself June let me share her flat on the top floor of 25 Marylebone High Street for over a year. She was my dear friend for over half a century and we always stayed in touch, often by telephone and of course whenever my husband and I were in Melbourne. We both loved her dearly anhd it is hard to think that we shall never hear that lovely soft voice again

Thank you for your wisdom, your precision, your grace, your laughter. My life has been richer for knowing you. You will always be missed.
Peace.
Alan

June,
thank you for being you.
