I was fortunate to teach at Glen Waverley with Judy for many years and she was a wonderful peer, colleague, friend and mentor. A loving person with a tremendous capacity for warmth, humour, care and sheer hard work. Judy's commitment to family, friends, colleagues, students and work was exemplary and she worked so hard to keep all aspects of her ife in balance. Her priority was always people: her beloved family, friends, colleagues, students...and she lived a deeply ethical and values- focussed life never losing sight of Jim, Jamie & Janet as her focus. As a peer and colleague she supported staff and students with a warm twinkle, commonsense and great fairness. Lunch time conversations were enlivened and leavened by Judy's humour, calm and experience. Judy had a special rapport with young people and was an amazing long term Yr 7 & 8/ junior school coordinator. She will be sadly missed by many. She will always be held in great estemm for her enormous legacy to us, her friends and colleagues. Farewell, Judy Go with love Ann

We love Judy as a valued and close friend. Since we first met Jim, Judy, Janet & Jamie at Blackburn Baptist Church in the late 70's we have shared many precious experiences them, including: - Cell group meetings held in our home - Enjoying generous hospitality at their home in Glen Waverley - Our first holiday in the snow - A holiday to Heron Island - Jim & Judy's silver anniversary, which was celebrated in our home with many other treasured friends - Two wonderful holidays shared together on Hamilton Island. The second time was during a gap in Judy's chemotherapy treatments. Judy seemed to gain renewal and strength through the beauty of the environment. Judy was a special lady, a lady of great grace and character. We remember: Her courage and measured determination to confront cancer. Her quiet personal faith. Her putting others before herself and her own needs. Her joy and pride in her fmaily, children and grandchildren! Her love for Jim! Her care and affection for her friends! She was determined to be there as long as possible for her family. In recent times I had the opportunity to reflect with Judy re the Father heart of God and His personal love for her. It was by her bedside. We wept and prayed together in one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Judy's final words to Helen were that she would "speak to us again". Yes, Judy we will speak again but in a different and better place! We love Judy and will greatly miss her. We are comforted to know that the struggles of the last period of her life are now over and that she is at peace forever with the Lord. Our love and prayers continue with Jim, Janet, Jamie and their families. Don & Helen Skilbeck
