You get that feeling (about John) that he was one of those rare people about whom no one could say anything negative. A good man now gone. But we are all the best for knowing him.

A word that is often overused but certainly warranted in this case. 'Pes' or 'Mr Pes' was an incredibly passionate man who unceasingly gave of himself. I can still remember his sense of unbridled joy when his beloved Emu Plains A Grade won the GF under Trev and Wal. The only way to describe him was as a human dynamo; boundless energy and indomitable spirit.
A tremendous loss. My condolences to his loving family. He will be sorely missed.

were all still in shock, in the short period I had met you, you always knew the right things to say, the office is sooo quiet with you buddy....
Gone but not forgotten...
Condolences to the family

John was a loyal, true and passionate friend. He dedicated himself to many sporting associations and became a local icon. He had a great sense of humour, was loving and kind. I will miss him.
