My mother: how do I explain her life?__Her life was about others. All of her actions were selfless.____As a friend : My mother did not have friends, only family. Once you became a friend you were considered family. From that point you were given tortillas,tamales,hugs and prays. She would like to say thank you all for playing card,bowling, boardgames, watching sports and the wonderful talks you shared with her.____As wife she always tried to make my dad happy. whether it was being the beautiful wife or accepting the difficult life decisions. She always stood by her husband. Dad, she loved you!____As a mother she taught us the importance of family. She always held us together through all of life's milestones. She was our coach, our cheerleader, our doctor, our teacher, and above all, our friend. Our love of sports started with her. From the Suns, to the Cardinals, to the Diamondback, she always rooted for the home team.The greatest memory was the 2001 World Series. I believe she willed the Diamondback__to win. My mother loved each of us with different style. She touched each of our hearts the way they neededto be touched. She was never a mother-in-law. She treated Steve,Jason,Gary and Olivia as her own and loved them with the same passion. Even our friends became her children.____As a Nana: Most women struggle with the thought of being a grandma, especially how young she was, but my mom embraced it with a passionI hvenever seen.She became Nana. The title nana was a badge of honor that allowed her to put meaning to her life. The grandkids activities became her life. Dance recitals, band and sports, no activity was too small and each grandchild felt as if they were the best and the event felt like the Superbowl when Nana was there.She did this with the ability to make them feel like center of the universe. Nana would tell the grandchildren to strive each day to be Nana. Be a giver, make someone feel loved and above all be a family.____And finally Katherine Nicole: Yopur Nana's love was so strongshe became an Angel to give you the love you deserve.
