I am sorry for Henks other family members asthey also lost a husband and father
In my youth uncle Henk was my mystery uncle far, far away in Australia, who could make beautiful paintings and seemed to make a living out of that. Later we met several times in Leiden and Sydney, and I discovered his kindness, his not being able to speak Dutch (I talked Dutch to him for I knew he understood everything, but he always kept on speaking English) and his being a real Overduin. One of the last few things I heard was that he had changed language again, which must have been very confusing. It is hard to be so far away, not able to comfort you all. All the best, love, Marina
