Dear Gwen was so welcoming to us and the girls, Adele, Michele & Monique when we first arrived in Australia in 1970. She made us feel 'at home' and that we had done the 'right thing'. She was so "down to earth". We will remember her with great affection for the rest of our lives.

A wonderful Grandma and a truely strong woman. Many many fond memories, and especially pleased that i could add many more recent ones since I have been living in Melbourne. She had a wonderful and inspiring life and will always live on in our hearts. Chloe x

An extraordinary lady for whom I had a great deal of affection. She has and will be missed.I have many fond memories of some wonderful conversations with Gwennie, who told me so much about her life in the short time we have been in Australia and went out of her way to make me feel like part of the family, which I always did whenever she was around. I was particularly fond of the facial expressions she would use to let you know exactly what she meant, that will continue to make me smile whenever I think about her, which I'm sure will be often.

A platinum thread frayed and unravelled leaving a gap in our family tapestry. Jill

Dear Gwennie meant so much to us as Joy and John and Gail and Prue's friend and, Paddy reminds us, one of the regular beach group for all those years. Jane and Bridie too knew her as a beautifully groomed and elegantly dressed woman. They, with Jan, and later Nick, share so many of our childhood memories just as we shared theirs.
