His circle of close friends continued as strong as in our school days. We were not business friends but the close enduring friendship from early schooldays. His loyalty to us all endured throughout his life and the distance seemed to enhance it rather than weaken the bonds.Though we are absent at the end we remain his special friends. His passing signals the start of the final journey for our close group. For his Aussie friends it is not a farewell but a break as he goes to prepare a place for us all. Marion has our love and affection and to his English friends we would say Farewell to him and rejoice that you knew him for he was a complete man. I AM VERY SAD TO HEAR OF DENNIS'S PASSING. HE WAS THE PILLAR OF THE HUTTON FAMILY. THE EXAMPLE OF HOW HE LIVED HIS LIFE,I AM SURE, WAS BOTH A COMFORT AND INSPIRATION TO HIS CHILDREN. FOR MYSELF, THROUGH THE GOOD TIMES AND BAD,HIS FRIENDSHIP NEVER WAVERED. HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS WILL MISS A DEDICATED FATHER, UNIQUE INDIVIDUAL AND ABOVE ALL, A TRULLY KIND MAN. WE WERE LUCKY TO HAVE KNOWN HIM. BEN.

My father did an important thing for his children; he set an excellent example for us through the way he lived his life. He was extremely intelligent, impeccably honest, hard-working, sensitive, reliable, considerate of others and physically active. He showed us how to appreciate nature, art, music and culture. He encouraged us to participate in many sporting activities and hobbies. We were very comfortable and secure in our home and we went on great family holidays. He showed us the importance of a good education and how to be a good friend. He always tried his best to do the right thing. My father lived his life being a good person and I loved and admired him very much. I know that Dad was very happy with Marion and his new life in England. He deserved to be happy. I thank Marion for all the care and love she devoted to my Dad especially through all the hard times.

I'll remember Dennis as grandad-Den", I think the large distance between us meant i was not as close to him as other relitives, however he always had a presence in our family's life. The postcards from European islands and countries he has sent us over the years will inspire my travels im sure. I know he was a great father to my mum and loved by all his children."

My dad was a great father to me and I loved him very much. He was a devoted parent who provided me with a great childhood and a fantastic family life. He worked very hard to provide his family with a beautiful home and all the possessions we ever wanted. Despite working incredibly long hours, he was always able to spend quality time with his children and take us on wonderful family outings. In particular, he came to watch every single cricket and rugby match I ever played, from when I was six years old right through until I was eighteen. I am especially grateful for all the great holidays he provided us, particularly the summer holidays we spent on the South Coast of New South Wales. Those holidays in Ulladulla and Mollymook are amongst the best times of my life. My father was probably the smartest person I ever met. As well as knowing just about everything about everything, he was a man of great wisdom, able to see the bigger picture from all points of view, where others are short-sighted and selfish. He was also a man of great compassion with a strong social conscience, always considerate of the effects of his actions on those around him. I am extremely grateful for all the things my father has given me in my life and will miss him very much. Warmest regards, Robert.
