David was a great ambassador for UTS. He was friendly, kind and extremely positive and optimistic. That is a wonderful legacy.
I have often thought about David and his happy nature and kindness and for that reason, recently stumbled across this Tribute page.
My wishes for David's family- of whom David spoke of with fondness and love on many occassions. He was a sincere and pure spirit.

Although we met Janet and David only a month before David died, we felt a close bond with them. The love and pride they had for their family, their generosity and their kindness were obvious to see, and it was impossible not to feel a fondness for them, even at our first meeting, when David couldn’t wait to show us a photo of his grandson, Charley.
David was so full of life, and happy in their beautiful home, we feel a sadness that John and I, and our families, will not get to know him better and enjoy more happy times with him.
God bless David’s lovely Janet, and their family. Our prayers go out to them that they will come through this sorrow to a happier time.
With love from John, Janice and our families.

What I liked about Uncle David: my Godfather!
1. Family is his number 1 priority!
2. He always shows genuine interest in what I am doing!
3. He is a good listener!
4. When I asked him for advice he always had a kind word to say and his advice made sense.
5. He seldom complained about his health: Although he had many battles with health, he never let his afflictions stop him achieving his goals. And he led a very successful life.!
6. He has a great sense of humour and enjoyed a good laugh!
7. He enjoyed a nice Scotch in the afternoon: I now know why!
8. He is honest and lived a righteous life!
9. He inspires me to achieve my goals, to have more courage, to take more risks and to be more loving and compassionate!
And 10. He loved us all, especially his Godson. So what more could I ask for!
David will be sorely missed but in our hearts his Spirit will live forever!
God Bless Janet his dear wife, Christopher and his Family Alex and Charley and Elizabeth and her husband Michael.
With all our love and light
Henry and Sylvia!

14 years agoDear Simone, Thank you very much for your tribute, we appreciate it very much. Dad was a special person. How did you know him? Were you a student, or did you work at UTS? Thanks, Elizabeth (Denne).
