Tony: When I landed in Australia you as the acting Head and Ness (Secretary) received me and took care of me. You took me to your home for a lunch, both listened Ravi Shankar's music, discussed a lot ablout the structure of Hindu religion and its close connection with modern science, then spent the afternoon in the Melbourne garden with your few year old son (Yingest), ... I still remember 'you took me to a pub with other faculties just before X-mas break' and 'you also brought Prof. Ravi Patherford (Mathematics) to have Indian company during that party'. I will never forget all my memories with Tony and his family. My sincere condolences to the whole family.
Tony, ever since I met you in your role as my research student supervisor, I saw a human being with a genuine spirit and a love for life. It was 1979 then, and you did not hesitate to invite me into your home to share the unconditional kindness and and love of your family. My good fortune continued, when I commenced duties at RMIT under your headship, throughout which I found in you a good mentor, a sincere, genuine and forthright boss, and someone who inspired me to do everything on offer in academia. Your mentoring of me, your genuineness and love for life will long be remembered. Most of all how can one forget your cheery and cheeky personality! Daryl, Kris, Damien & Jason
Tony - You generously and with humour and flair taught me how to program in COBOL in 1967 and were always there if any advice was needed..
